BLAST FROM THE PAST - BATTLE OF THE RIVER WYE

Proof that there is nothing new in the ways of warfare, and another 'blast from the past' for the Herefordshire VBCW. While Lord de Braose may be experimenting with dredging the River Wye in preparation for his fleet of gunboats, the (now disappeared) Captain Arrowsmith of the BUF went right ahead with his own nautical endeavours. It is the Spring 2016 Big Game, and the BUF armoured canal boats take on the Wirral Socialist Canal Workers Battalion on one of the tables. Featuring an actually successful rocket barrage (amazing!), BUF Cavalry, the "Jenny Marx" in broadside action with the BUF's "Goliath", and possibly the luckiest mortar shot in VBCW history. Full battle report HERE.
